Island Yoga is Moving!
We are relocating in 2017. Our lovely new studio is located at 1136 Ballena Ave, Ste D, in a quiet off-street setting on the ground floor, facing a sweet little courtyard.
Classes remain in session at 911 Central until the holiday break (December 22 through January 1) Our doors will reopen at the new studio on January 2. Keep your eye out for information on our Grand Opening-Open House on January 1, as well as a special offer for the New Year/New Location. ~Namaste
Love going to Island Yoga! This was my first exposure to yoga and I couldn't have chosen a better place. I highly recommend this to newbies & regulars alike.
Nancy and Marcia have brought together some of the most experienced instructors in the Bay Area at Island Yoga. You can be assured that any class you choose will be challenging to your level of practice. The studio is very intimate, clean and beautiful and there is an especially welcoming vibe from the students who practice there. If you are new to yoga or just looking for a new studio you will find a yoga community at Island Yoga.
Although the space is small, it always feels intimate, welcoming and fresh. One of the things I particularly appreciate is that there is no pretention and my fellow students are all focused on doing the work. I love coming here.
Located on the second floor of what appears to be a residential house, this studio has a charm rarely achieved in yoga studios. Although I've yet to attend one of the meditation classes it seems an ideal environment -- passing through a peaceful garden as you walk up the stairs and enter the warm wood-paneled, big windows allowing natural light main room.
I’ve been studying yoga here for years with several teachers. The teachers have their own unique blend of style and teaching and that’s one of the many things I appreciate about this studio. The teachers are dedicated to this art form and offer their guidance and wisdom with every class. I always leave feeling much better than when I walked in.,
