YOGA, A MEDICINE FOR GRIEF

with Ana Murphy and Kim Hanlon

Saturday, December 1, 1:00 to 4:00 pm
$35 Registration

This workshop combines the need for grievers to know they are not alone in grief with the healing nature of yoga. We begin with creating a loving, comfortable space for grievers to appreciate their grief and share a little about their experience, followed by a Chakra meditation, and two yoga sequences. The Chakra meditation allows grievers to get in touch with their grief and discover where in their body and energy it may be affecting them. The first yoga sequence focuses on opening the channels for the griever's Life Force Energy. The second yoga sequence is designed to help participants release tension from their grief. We include restorative yoga poses to allow the participants to absorb all the benefits of the workshop. We’ll end with a final opportunity for participants to share about their experience and ask any questions that may have come to them during the workshop.
