New to yoga? Ease into basic yoga poses with modifications for beginners’ bodies. No need to bring a mat or props to class. Bring bare feet, an empty stomach, and clothes you can move in. Learn yoga, move your body, and have fun in a supportive environment. Limited to 10 students. Handouts included.

MEETING YOURSELF ON THE MAT: DEVELOPING A HOME PRACTICE

What prevents us from unrolling our mats at home? Yoga works if you do it. Come learn tools to help you start practicing on your own. We will do some basic poses, then discuss practice concepts and motivational strategies. You will outline your own practice during the last hour with Dina's assistance and leave with a sequence. Some yoga experience required.

Learn anatomy from the inside-out. This comprehensive anatomy module expertly guides you into your living tissues in a concrete and inspiring way. It provides you with a directly personal experience of the interplay of the many complex systems of the body and helps you to make them relevant and tangible for all movement practices. Learn how the multiple layers of the body relate and function as a whole while simultaneously exploring specific anatomical structures, physiological processes and typical movement patterns and pathologies.

This training is appropriate for all -- yoga and Yoga Tune Up® teachers, students, and movement enthusiasts -- who have a deep curiosity about the human body and a desire to dive into the study of anatomy.

This workshop will help steer you towards that path as we discuss basic core anatomy, pranayama (breathing mechanics), and spinal alignment through the combined lenses of a yoga therapist, physical therapist, athletic trainer, and strength and conditioning specialist. We will use lecture, movement, and self-assessment throughout the two hour course. No yoga experience is necessary.

POISED FOR CHANGE: COPING WITH MENOPAUSE THROUGH YOGA

Menopause is a natural transition that all women face at a certain age.  Whether you are dealing with peri-menopause or post-menopausal symptoms, yoga can help you cope and find relief.  In this workshop, we will explore different postures and breath work to help manage common menopausal symptoms with ease and comfort. These practices are designed to help cool your body, reduce fatigue, and elevate your mood.  In addition, aromatherapy and Reiki will be incorporated in this workshop. Space is limited, register early. No experience necessary.
